Yeah...I haven't put anything up at all since February, not even to update my pseudo-blog here. My second semester was a bit of a wake-up call for me (I'll just say I didn't do so well and leave it at that), and this summer has gone by in peaceful lethargy. I suppose I didn't really see anything that I particularly wanted to write about...

Even now, I'm feeling a desire to simply let this inactivity stretch out as long as possible. I did however, gather up the motivation to write this out. My writing has, of course, suffered under my laziness. Nothing of any particular note, that I can recall, has been done in regards to anything I've left lying about. I also haven't started anything new, or at least not past haphazard notepad files scattered in My Documents.

I have been steadily continuing to find new shows, books, and fanfics to look at. This summer has been mostly taken up by the anime called Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, which I found through TVTropes (which has done much towards its presumed goal of ruining peoples lives). I don't really feel like giving a full review right now, but I may do one a bit later...maybe.

Of note, however is that I managed to find a lively Nanoha fan community on the AnimeSuki forums. I am lurking at the moment, so to speak, by reading through the positively monstrous archives of the Original Character Creation and Discussion thread (known as Outer Cadia or OC thread). I wisely decided not to read the 1200 page (20 posts per page) first version of the thread, and instead I am plowing through the re boot's still sizable 400 page backlog. While this may seem silly, I do find the interactions and antics of the thread posters to be highly amusing and their fanworks to be of admirable quality.

Aside from Nanoha and Outer Cadia, a somewhat recent Wiki Walk lead me to the webcomic MegaTokyo. This comic was a fun, if short, distraction from most of the other things I was reading at the time and has earned its spot on my list of things to check for updates every week.

Anyways, this journal (short as it is) was pretty fun to write, once I got going on it. It's a shame though that I didn't do it until the beginning of my second last week of summer vacation. ^_^;
